Resilience has many components, most importantly the ability to bounce back from adversity. By studying and advising on personal resilience, we aim to make people better able to cope with, and capitalise on, life’s challenges.
Just as an Intelligence Quotient (IQ) or Emotional Quotient (EQ) give people an idea as to how intelligent or empathetic they are in comparison to others, so the Resilience Quotient (RQ) will tell you how your ability to bounce back from adversity compares to your peers. Do you always look for the positive in a situation, or do you let events get the better of you? Find out how you fare by taking part in this questionnaire.
The Resilience Quotient tool has been composed of questions on the basis of extensive structured interviews; an academic literature search consolidating work underpinning existing questionnaires and a preliminary pilot. A factor analysis produced the five component themes and scores are compared against our initial norm group of 650 responses. More than 1,000 individuals have now received their own RQ scores and feedback.
Answering the questionnaire should take between 5 and 15 minutes. You can save your answers and return at any time.
Your scores will be visible to Nicholson McBride consultants only, who will keep them confidential, act within the highest ethical codes and never release them to any third parties.
